हवाएं नाराज़ रहती हैं

Do not swindle you,
The winds are angry

हुस्न की तारीफ

मेरी नज़रों में हसीं

वो है जो तुम जैसे हो

Smile in my eyes
He is who you are

 

वो निगाहों से यूँ शरारत करते हैं ,

अपनी अदा से भी कयामत करते हैं ,

निगाहें उनकी भी चेहरे से हटती नहीं ,

और वो हमारी नजरो से शिकायत करते हैं।

They mischief like this,
Doom too with our own style,
His eyes also do not turn away from his face,And they complain from our point of view.

 

यूँ ना निकला करो आज कल रात को

चाँद चुप जायेगा देख कर आपको

Don't come out like this last night
The moon will go silent on seeing you

 

हैं होंठ उसके किताबों में लिखी तहरीरों जैसे,

ऊँगली रखो तो आगे पढ़ने को जी करता है।

Lips are like the tahrirs written in his books,
If you keep a finger, you live to study further.

 

रोज इक ताज़ा शेर कहाँ तक लिखूं तेरे लिए,

तुझमें तो रोज ही एक नई बात हुआ करती है।

To what extent should I write fresh lions everyday for you,There is a new thing in you every day.

 

क्या हुस्न था कि आँख से देखा हजार बार,

फिर भी नजर को हसरत-ए-दीदार रह गयी।

What was beautiful that I saw with my eyes a thousand times,Even then, the eye remained Hasrat-e-Didar.

 

क्या लिखूं तेरी तारीफ-ए-सूरत में यार,

अलफ़ाज़ कम पड़ रहे हैं तेरी मासूमियत देखकर।

यह चांद सा रोशन चेहरा जुल्फों का रंग सुनहरा,

ये झील सी नीली आंखें कोई राज है इनमें गहरा,

तारीफ करूं क्या उसकी जिसने तुम्हें बनाया,

तारीफ करूं क्या उसकी जिसने तुम्हें बनाया।
